Benefit Bake & Tunes In The Tavern: Reid Parsons & Green Mountain Adaptive Sports

Thursday January 15th

Join us on Thursday, January 15 from 4–9 PM at American Flatbread in Stowe for a Benefit Bake that celebrates all the things we love: community, local food, and coming together for a good cause. A portion of the night’s flatbread sales* will support Green Mountain Adaptive Sports. Their mission is to improve the quality of life for people living with a disability residing in or visiting Vermont through access to sports and recreational activities. We also work cooperatively with our partners to enhance their ability to deliver a quality experience to persons with disabilities. Learn more at greenmtnadaptive.org. (*Includes takeout orders!) PLUS from 6-8pm we'll have live tunes in the tavern from Reid Parsons! Vermonter Reid Parsons is an open book on stage, words stripped to the heartwood. Parsons's lyrics are honest and simple, placed with intention in a true craftsman style. Not one to beat around the bush, Parsons has a knack of distilling the hurts and hopes of life into compact tunes that live in the liminal spaces between genres. “Parsons has a warm spirit. Even though her tunes touch on hardships and dark times, they impart a sense of hope that’s lately in short supply” (Jordan Adams, Seven Days).
